bfbc2 problem

As we all know the lowest resolution in bc2 you can get is, 1024x768. But my computer is bad! and as we also know, The lower the resolution, the smoother and better the gameplay... So what tried to do was, Go to the settings.ini in the bc2 folder and change it to 640x480, or something close to that. But my problem is my resolution wont stay that way and when i go to login, it automatically changes back... All i want from you guys is how to change to a really low resolution and be able to play on that resolution. thnx in advance for the help:confused1:

You could try changing the file to "Read only." Right click the file, select "Properties" and check the "Read only" box under "Attributes."

thnx for help but alrady tried that, just automatically changes it, but when i look at the settings it hasnt changed there!

Go into settings and set everything to either "Low" or "0"

Then set FOV to 80.

This should boost performance.

 

[Duality]

Raising the FOV will cause the game to render more meaning a drop in performance, i'd leave it at 55 (default).

The best thing you can do bud is lower everything way down and play in dx9.

I would also focus on dropping textures, shadows, bloom and AA. Drop those to base levels, FOV to 55 and you should be able to rock a decent resolution with any computer.

I know it wont help, but I recomend maxing out the credit card and just building a new system. I suppose we all wish we could do that I guess.

i am actually savng to build my own pc but as im only 14 and have very little income! I guess itll take me till like august-december to get enough money :L
