BBC2 Ecent Idea

Hey guys me and Dave where discussing a great idea for a new event. I don't know if many of you guys watch the military channel, but if you do you may be familiar with the show top sniper. Basically its a compilation between sniper teams too see who is the best. In this compilation they do events such as long distance shooting, stress fires, and stalking. I think we could make this an event in bbc2.

Long Distance shooting: A player must find a target down range( across the map) and take it out. The shooter will be tested on how many shots it took and how long it took to take out that target. The top six snipers get to go onto the next round.

Stress Fire: A sniper will be presented multiple moving and stationary targets at a variety of ranges. They would be tested on the amount of time it took to eliminate all the targets. The top four will move onto the next round.

Stalking: The 4 sniper will be have the challenge of sneaking up on a tower where at the top observers will be without spotting scopes to try to find the snipers. The snipers goal would be to have to reach a check point then find a good shooting spot where they could take a shot and still not be seen by the observers. Then they would have to bug out to that checkpoint again too finish the event. The sniper we be out if caught and will also be graded on how fast they complete the event. The winner will be claimed eGO's top bbc2 sniper.


I do realize that this will take a lot of work from many people and will be hard to organize. But I believe we will be able to do it and that a lot of people would have fun with this event

Sort of like an olympics for the recon class...

This sounds really cool! You're right, it would take a lot of organization since we would need a lot of people to be involved (the recon teams, the targets, etc) but I think if we pulled it off, we would have an awesome event!

Ginger is right, we need to work in the organization, but if we do the explosives match I think we can handle this... Uhmmmmmmmm the perfect maps for this are "Atacama Desert" and "Panama Canal" since both got long range and houses to hide the "spots"

Also I think we need to set a sniper type maybe using the M24 cause its the most easy to get (But I'll vote for the M95, just because of the fire power)

We can keep posting ideas and get a nice event

I was watching that last night actually, and that sounds like a great idea. I would gladly volunteer for the target if I don't make it as a competitor

I think the targets should be advisors and Dl's. Also we should have challenges for other classes, like Gingertonic said, the Olympics.

While I work at my boring, tedious job for 9 hours a day, I think about BC2-lympics. I'll make a thread about it later once i've put it all down on paper, because, believe me, i've thought of everything for an event that includes this.
