Who gave you the extra ram? You sure your not talking about video ram.
The GPU has 2GB of RAM. Giving 4 would be redonkulous.

i got the ram free when i bought the graphic card the shop keeper is really nice

64bit OSes can theoretically see 16 exabytes or ram.
Windows 7 Home (X64) only sees up to 16gb
Ultimate (x64) can see up to 128GB
You are thinking of the 32bit (x86) versions, that can only address ~3.25GB
