League Overview
The league will be modeled similar to externally competitive leagues such as TWL, CAL, or CEVO. Teams will be a smaller composite of the standard 16 person team. Team size is 6 players resulting in 6v6 competition. Class restrictions will be in effect.
Teams will play each other in a yet-to-be-determined order, likely either round robin or pool play.

Match Questions
Q: How long will a season last?
A: About 4 to 6 weeks with a one or two week playoff.
Q: When will the league start?
A: The league is planned to start around July 5th.
Q: Where will matches be held?
A: On the eGO TF2 Payload/Event server (subject to change)
Q: How are matches scheduled?
A: Matches will not be "preset" or "prescheduled." Instead, matches will be scheduled by the two teams during time periods when a referee is available. For example, in week one, the schedule may say "Team A" plays "Team B". Teams A and B would then need to consult with each other and select from a timeslot when a referee is available.
Q: When will referees be available?
A: Event Coordination team members will be referees and plans are currently to have availability most days of the week and during morning, afternoon, and night hours.
Q: When will schedules be posted?
A: Within 48 hours of the roster deadline, June 30th.
Q: How will the match winner be determined?
A: The winner of a match is determined by total point score.
Q: How long will each match be?
A: Each match will consist of one 30 minute round.
Q: How will points in a match be determined?
A: The first team to reach 5 points in the round shall be declared the winner.
If neither team reaches 5 points by the round, the team with the highest points total shall be declared the winner.
Q: How will the league winner be determined?
A: Tentatively, the top 8 teams will be placed into a single elimination tournament at the end of the league season. The winner of the tournament will become the league champion.
Q: What does the league winner get?
A: eGO TF2 glory. Anything further is being discussed.

Q: Which maps will be used?
A: Standard competition maps will be used. CP style maps will be used for the inaugural season.
Q: Why not CTF maps?
A: CTF maps do not lend themselves well to a smaller competitive type format.
Q: Will I be able to practice with my team?
A: Yes, practice times will be made available.
Q: I've never played TF2 like this before, what should I expect?
A: Expect a fast paced and much more intense style of play than traditional 16 v 16 play.
Communication is the critical component to success in this format. An understanding of respawn delays, travel time, and class strengths and weaknesses are critical.
Q: What is a "typical" team compsition?
A: A composition of two soldiers, one medics, one demo, and two scouts is common. However, teams are free to choose any class they feel is appropriate to meet their needs, subject to class restrictions.
