Getting BFBC2 in dx9

Just brought Battlefield bad company 2 today, awesome game so far. But i want to run it in dx9 to increase my performace since my machine can't handel it on dx10 high settings. I've read that u just go to documents and click on BFBC2 n so on, well problem is when i click on documents i cant find it, i've checked everywhere and can not find it. I know ima prolly feel stupid but its been a while

Well that was weird, before it didn't show a BFBC2 folder but now it does
