Hello fellow EGO members.
I have an xbox 360 and a bunch of controllers. I put my thinking cap on and looked up to see if you could use the for the pc. You can, however, it is not free 20$ for an adapter. I was wondering if any of you use an xbox controller? Is it nice? do you prefer mouse and keyboard over it? Is it worth it to pay 20 bucks for the adapter? Thanks.

With a USB Controller you don't need the adapter. It works great for racing games on PC, but that's about it in my opinion.

trust me, stick with mouse and keyboard, there are a lot of programs on the internet that will let you use a xbox-O and a Ps3 controller on your computer, but a lot of them are key loggers and infested with virus'.

keyboard and mouse = <3

Wired xbox 360 controllers work with pc perfectly. You can get drivers from Microsoft if nessecary

Wireless controllers require a base which is like $50. So wired is best

But honestly, pc gaming ain't fun with a controller. Used my ps3 controller with tf2, and hated it

It would be OK if you just want to lounge and play a single player game. Online though, in an FPS, controller VS mouse, the controller stands no chance.

Just get a wired controller and download drivers from Microsoft. But as everyone said. Keyboard and mouse over a controller anyday.

It's fun to play around with and I find it a bit more relaxing.
But if you want to do well in Multiplayer Shooters, good'ol mouse and keyboard are better.

It's harder. Much, MUCH harder. Hader to move around and harder to aim.

I only use controllers for playing PES and FIFA on computer.

It's a must for driving games, or just lounging and playing (like an action RPG). I play on a laptop and plug in the 360 for driving games.

I used a controller at first for the PC gaming just because I wasn't used to the K+M and neither was my brother.

But now I am used the K+M but now it just feels weird playing some console games that aren't the Wii.

:(

Xbox controllers are not the best for shooting video games where you have to snipe and be accurate. Racing games are the best with a controller, but this is my opinion.
