What would you upgrade with $1k?

If the motherboard is SLI capable, it should have the SLI connectors. They don't come with the graphics cards which IMO is kind of annoying sometimes. Otherwise, you'd have to buy the connectors from newegg and theres only one brand which sells them for like $9 or something. My EVGA didn't come with them since i got an open box :( Im using ATI CFX so it doesn't matter, i like that ATI bundles the connector though.

Discharge yourself before touching your components. Since you ordered the HAF 932 i believe, touch the inside of the case, non-painted....should do the job.

When you put the thermal paste on, don't put too much, a pea sized drop should do or two small lines.

Don't forget to put the motherboard stand-offs???

Picture in your head where you wan't to route all the cables, try to make it very tidy and clean, use zip ties etc...hopefully all the connectors are long enough.

Yes, DO NOT FORGET THE MOTHERBOARD STAND OFFS. Those are incredibly important.
I can send you some good guides via PM, if you wish.

main hint: make sure everything is plugged in before asking for help. plz! You don't know how many times there is someone who wastes like 7 pages thinking their stuff is DOA, only to realize they forgot to plug in their EPS connector or something lame like that.

Yeah.
A few more things.
When inserting the CPU, DO NOT APPLY ANY FORCE ONCE YOU PLACE IT IN THE SOCKET.
Also, make sure you plug the ram in all the way, and in the right slots. You'll probably have to read some of the motherboard manual for that.
Finally, make sure the 24pin cable is plugged in all the way. I've let that slip a few times. lol

sweet thanks, and yes, i'll take any guides and more advice possible, I dont want to leave anything up to chance for it to break down on me... lol
