DoD:S High Def Update

It shouldn't make you lag; it's merely a re-skin of all the weapons/players etc., altough, it might... I've recently began experiencing more lag... but idk if it's cuz the skins... my wireless is sort of on and off with the lag and the disconnections.
 
Yes, some of the textures are a bit higher res than that of the default, so this can affect performance. I do not think it will affect it too much though, but if you are already on the borderline for just being able to run dod, i would not recommend installing this I am afraid.
 
Well here's the thing:

I saved a copy of the skins to my drive, saved the important folders in my dod, and nuked the dod folder... and guess what? No more lag lolololololololol
 
Yeah, keep in mind, tho that every time you need to use the files, you must type huckleberry ... so... I did a lot of copy-pasting >.<
 
Downloading now.. I already have my favourite Kar skin so I'm just going to pick at this and take out the ones I need. =)
 
I love it, simply love it, tough I still use another Springfield skin, that one will never be replaced. :P
 
caseypwnz, do you still having trouble finding where you save the Steam in your PC?
If still, I got a suggestion, but based on XP knowledge, not Vista (for I haven't trust it yet.)
You can find Steam location in your PC by:
1. Click 'Start', > All Program > Steam > Steam (right click it)
2. Then select 'Properties', on 'Target' you can seen where the Steam located, usually in "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe"

well i downloaded it
and like i put it in that one place where it says.

Well the thing didn't work. LOL what do i need to do to get it to work out for me?
