Just got TF2, what's your favorite server to play on?

My personal favorite is Turbine, but I would suggest Valve maps because that has the most variety of maps, and if you feel in the mood for silliness, come to some of the TF2 events

I just wish Egypt and Turbine would go back to 32 slot servers... I just can't stand playing with only 24 people. It's so..... empty.

At least you can play, I've been having a hard time finding an open spot since they went to 24.

play 2fort for a few weeks, then move to mesa. kevi is right that its a horrible map to learn how to play, but when you know how to play its amazing

I am still a big valve maps fan and will always be, but mesa is where its at for me.

spent prolly 5-6 hours on Egypt everyday, 20 minutes in Turbine, 2 minutes in Mesa

I'd say either Egypt (my favorite) or blackmesa, because it's pretty neat and different.

I tried it out for the first few days and haven't been back since. It's too depressing. I just tough it out trying to get a fun experience out of mesa but it gets old fast. If you want to get in, join a server that's not full and then set it to auto-join as soon as there's a slot open. That's what I do when I can't get in the server I want.

Kevi stated a good point, you'll get used to all the maps, but we all know that once you get on Turbine, you won't be able to get out....

Trust me. Put me in a 24/7 Turbine map and I'll get out even if I have to eat my own computer to do it.

Alright guys, thanks for agreeing with me for the most part, but I didn't mean to get it started bashing mesa or any other map or server we have. Lets keep it friendly.

Mesa is a good map, but it takes a while to learn your way around it, eg: know the shortcuts, where to camp, going up the vents. Egypt, on the other hand, is a perfect map for Demoman spam, which suits my playing style better

Black Mesa is a very good map but probably should start at 2fort or turbine. Black Mesa is a bit more advanced and it took awhile to grow on me but now I cannot leave.

Play PL Maps. It needs to get filled up and its a great server to learn your way around. Good class to learn to play first although is Medic. We need more medics like maiella. Hes a great medic and saved my monster kill spree plenty of times
