Never HP!!!

HP cases have horrid airflow.
WHOO LETS MAKE A COMPUTER AND ONLY HAVE THE STOCK FANS FOR THE CPU, GPU, AND AN 80MM EXHAUST FAN. :D

my suggestion is to mod your case. If you have a dremel tool and a steady hand, or a friend that has a few power tools...you can cut a side fan port and install a 120mm fan which should also have an empty header to plug into on the mobo. That fan blowing in will provide much needed cooling in that HP proprietary case.

They are built that way for 1 reason - a PC that cant vent heat has a shorter lifespan than its cooler running counterpart... in turn, more money in HPs coffers.

To add, my Mother In Laws' HP just died.. over heated and blew the capacitors that feed power to the CPU.

Id try to get some extra cooling before that thing burns up.

He is talking about a laptop. If you want to go and dremel a laptop good freaking luck. And a 120 mm fan? Where in the world will he fit that on a laptop.

didnt pay attention I guess... didnt notice the laptop part...lol

they do manufacture laptop coolers.... basically a fan setup that the laptop sits on.. they work so-so but it does help.

oh, btw.. HPs use cold solder, so be careful not to overheat - I know several people whos PCs un-soldered themselves on the mobo and vid card.

My school just spent obscene amounts of money on outdated HP computers..... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO core2duo's and CAD cards!!!!!!

Lol, my school just spent a fortune buying Dell computers (not that good but better than HP!) that came with Vista, and they decided to spend another few hundred to get them downgraded to Windows XP... :facewall:

My HP laptop was good for a while but it overheated and broke. Also the first time it broke it was my ps3's fault.
