It's that time of the year again for many of us. The end of summer leading to fall. And with fall comes SCHOOL!

Everyone understands how addictive video games can become, and Bad Company 2 is no exception. For everyone that's in school, grade school all up to college, be sure to set your studies first. Playing two hours of BC2 first and then doing your homework is a losing proposition and a bad idea. Get the homework done first so you have nothing to worry about later on, and if you have any problems or difficulties, you got that extra time to work on it some more. Don't be afraid to ask for help from your family or friends either! You can use us as a resource, but it's best to stay off the computer and away from gaming if you can, so you can concentrate better.

Remember: School and family comes before gaming!

Good advice, but I honestly wish I could take it to heart. Doesn't matter how far away from my computer I go, I always end up wandering back to play.

Bad habits are hard to break.

Yea, I was late to my first day of class because I was on BC2 with you guys... But college is awesome.

Good post. I never have the problem of video games over homework because my parents are quite strict, but I manage to find at least 30 minutes a day on game or on Ventrilo.

And most of the time I am on the forum because I type all my assignments.

hmmm tought descision. I don't get on my pc before like 18 PM CET. So yh, i don't play unless it's weekend, friday or wednesday.

To all: please don't do what I did last year of procrastinating because I put video games first. IT kills - it's unhealthy since you have incredible amounts of stress, you don't get enough sleep, and it ruins your future. Granted I pulled it together and still did well, it was painful.

Please please please keep this in mind. Better yet, what I've found is that if I do the work first, I end up finishing it 10x faster since I'm not distracted by the game I just played

Take it from me. That "brief hiatus" I took a few weeks ago was because of the exact reasons ethereal just said. In addition to the pressure from my parents about college, I had a lot of stress from gaming and I essentially had a major mental breakdown and spiraled deep into depression.

Now I'm fine, but it was a hard process to get over it.

Very true. If I finish homework first, then I have more time for games. It's a win-win situation.
