Server Box in name?

I think I understand what say you... When you look at the tab key, the list has 16/16 and goes off the screen. Mine does that too. I tried to chance my screen's settings, but it was the game that was causing it.

NO.. I mean, when you go to look for servers, and you look at the EGO servers, there's like a box like this for example: 24/7 =(eGO)=� Donner EdgeGamers.us =HLstatsX=... Either the name of the servers are too long, or its just my comp.. I don't know if any of this is happening to yall, Please let me know. Thx

those boxes just started showing up on my computer as well and outside of the game. It is just an unprintable char or somehting. Just ignore it.
second of all, Frankoman, the fact that you need to scroll the scoar board when you hit tab is not "just the game" and it is directly caused by your screen resolution being set too low to display all the players at once.
The reaosn for that is caused by the large fonts used in the source engine over the original hl1 engine. You used to be able to see everyone at normal resolutions and now with source you can have highish resolutios and not see all the same. You are right to say that you arent alone, but if you could play the game at 2048x1536 i bet you would see all the names.

Ah, I see. I set my screens settings a little lower, so it would fit with my (old) monitor. That is perfectly reasonable, and I will change it now. Thankyou

well you set your screen resolution to best fit your quality and fps, and then you just deal with the side effect that happen in the scorboard - not the other way arround.
