Basicly when i turn on my computer 90% of the time i will get one of 3 messages.
1) A disk read error has occoured.
Press Alt+Ctr+Dlt to restart
2)Windows failed to start. A recemt hardware or software change might be the cause.
File:\windows\system32\config\system
Status 0xc0000e9
Info: windows failed to load because the system registary file is missing.
3) Bootmrg failed to open
(That was from memory, havnt seen it in a while)
AND the fourth option is that i see none of these, it goes on and loads untill i get to my desktop, at this point i may either see
1) No background, icons missing. No sound.
2) Background, some icons missing. No sound.
3) All ok. Sound disabled. (I can fix this normally)
4) working.
It started with just the second bit with the missing icons, but this wasnt a big issue so i foolishly ignored it. Now it has developed and means it takes me maybe 30 computer restarts to get it in a working state.
If you can help that would be cool, thanks.
