SPECACT kit upgrades
The SPECACT kit upgrades have arrived on PC! PC players can now change how their soldiers look on the battlefield with this additional downloadable content. With the 4 kit-specific unique uniforms and the camouflaged SPECACT personal M16A2, UMP-45, MG3 and a gun metal black M95 SNIPER, you have a visual edge on the Battlefield, showing that you’re a force to be reckoned with. Recruited strictly from other high-level Special Operations units such as Delta Force and Spetsnaz, the Special Activities groups – SPECACT – are the elite of the elite, used mainly for covert operations and other high-risk missions in areas where conventional troops cannot be used.

Your Battlefield account will be granted the SPECACT kit upgrade. No download or codes required. SPECACT kits will now be available from the kit selection screen after joining a server. *Please note that you must use the same email address as Your Battlefield account to ensure entitlement is delivered to the correct account.

If only I ever used any of the guns included in the pack... =P


I feel like it's just a waste. And with the new model skins, it looks like you'll stick out like a sore thumb. No chance of hiding in the bushes with a solid black outfit...
 
wtf....thats just stupid to try and sell bc2 skins for the pc.....they dont offer anything new and just change the look of less than a dozen things.
 
A extra incentive for people debating whether to buy SPECACT. You get an extra loadout for each class in the kit selection before you spawn. So you get Assault, Assault SA, Medic, Medic SA, etc, etc. This has proved to be very useful as you can quickly select 2 different flavours of each class with different weapons, etc. I decided to buy SPECACT last night.

Your player doesn't have a black outfit, it's the gun that is "blacked out".. your player gets a different look ghili suit.

I was misinformed when I wrote that. Needless to say, I got the SPECACT a couple days after it came out. ^^ It's not amazing, but the different appearances help in certain situations!
 
I did purchase the kit and honestly, whether or not you like it depends on the player.

Personally, I do like the GUNS because of the added opportunities for awards and such (since I'm not 1337 like some of you at lv. 50 hahah) but moreso because if you like to hide in foliage like I do, then your gun doesn't give you away. Gun camo scheme will also change just like the regular camo to suit the environment. Again, depends on the player but for the most part I frequent the guns offered w. SPECACT (minus the MG3, prefer the XM8 LMG) so that was a bonus and made it not so much of a waste.

Camo is another story though, since on some maps you're asking to be shot if you use SPECACT where others you'll blend in like a ghost. Familiarize yourself w. the different options since it's a different camo option for each kit - they don't all use the same camo scheme. Unfortunately, you cannot customize the scheme either, but it works w. certain conditions.

Is it good? Sure. Personally, since you can just use the SPECACT guns w. regular camo I do that and only use the full SPECACT gear if the map suits the camo, but ultimately it's up to the player and what suits their tastes.
 
I'm seriously thinking about getting it.. because I like the different look of the ghili.. but I don't know how different the look is.. :/

I haven't been able to find pics of how the current skin looks compared to the SPECACT.
