Messed up HUD

Problem: HUD in-game is messed up; The flag thingies on the top-left corner looks like it was cut from scissors and the bottom-left part doesn't have any color (It's a dark yellowish color). The rules from the MOTD are not visible too.

Tried: Re-installing but I still see all my skins. Verifying files (Not sure if that does anything at all).

Hmm, I had a problem with Rome Total War were a week before it worked beautifully, then it's graphics died completely. Snow turned black, ocean turned into an ugly sandish color, the battle floor was non - exsistant, buildings were a bright yellow, people were invisible, save there shadow... It was all caused by 2 things.

1. I my drive wasn't up to date, I had to update my drive to fix this.

2. My computer had never been clean, and was one dusty little critter. The dust caused overheating which caused stress in the graphics card, hence causing my computer to laaaaaaaaaaaaaag and graphics to mess up.

But you said it is just the HUD, but not the game? That could mean your graphics for that had gotten messed up. In a game called Stronghold 2 I played, my loading screen would, occasionally, glitch in the oddest way. Everything was fine but the background and text, it was so messed up. I had updated my Drivers and it seemed to go away.

The screenshot might help things out, and may bring GreenMonkey here, who seems to outsmart me x10

As for your number 2 - absolutely, that happens all the time. It's worse with high end computers because of the airflow - whereass people with $300 dells have little isue because their "case fan" cough CPU fan COUGH is the same fan and there basically isnt any airflow ot drag dust into the case.

Anyways, i'm curious as to your number 1. What drive wasnt up to date and how did you fix this?

It's fixed. I didn't have the file for it I think (Probably because I removed a certain skin). I just deleted the whole "day of defeat" folder from my local disk and redownloaded it.

Ah, I see, so your graphics files were missing completely. Glad to hear you have fixed it! I am still interested in the picture though

And to greenmonkey, - My graphic Driver apparently was out of date. I got the patch from Steam which automatically found it for me.

Yeah, I use a half tower, and all these wires block my airflow (I have 4 hard drives, 2 disk drives, 2 graphics card, etc. Lots of wire!), so my 4 or so fans all struggle a lot. I actually had to reconfigure the fans in a different way to make the airflow work better.
