a780gm-a ultra black series mobo ram compatibility

Today I went to Best Buy looking for a memory upgrade for my board. I saw this

for about the same price. I was just wondering if I could use it with my board, or should I look at something else?

as long as you have a free channel. read as: two free DIMMs.
Also, I had that motherboard. You should really think of getting a different one.

That board indeed uses DDR2.

That stick of memory linked in the first post will not work.

I know I posted ram that was DDR3, but I just wanted to know if it would work or not. I've looked it up and haven't heard anything for or against it working.

Whoops. Didn't realize it was XMS3. I saw XMS 2GB and read it as XMS2. lol.
You'd need DDR2 ram, brah. But that is getting ridiculously high priced, so I'd recommend a new motherboard and new ram all around.
