My Internet Is Taking A Dump On Me!

So guys here is the deal, I am experiencing 1-90% packet loss on a regular basis caused by something between my ISP and my Modem so until it gets fixed I wont be able to have fun playing bfbc2 so see you all when it gets fixed.

ah rats, I'll not get as many kills or a squadmate that i won't be able to spawn on.
 
Gotta admit, that's about the best description of an internet connection ever.

My stupid 5mb internet give me a 190ping with 1mb download every time I feel like playing online.
 
Yeah, so I couldn't resist the urge to play but I sure hope they fix it soon, Supposed to be fixed by 4am
 
Now they are saying it will be fixed sometime tomorrow though they just don't know what is wrong. Oh how I love professional incompetence in all it's glory.

No, I am going to call it early tonight but tomorrow I will probably play for a while!
I do really hope they have it fixed by then though.
 
there is only 1 splitter and 1 barrel connector on the line and both have been replaced and didn't fix the issue. They are supposed to run a new line yesterday but didn't show up and are telling me it may be as late as the 15th before they fix it. You would figure the largest cable company in the US would have better service but NOPE! They suck.

Mann! I am with yeah on that. Usually largest cable company tend to loose contact with quality of customer service and start worry more about the quality of output of sales! :O

It's all about greed which is why I told them they won't get a cent till it's fixed and that they will only be getting paid for the time my service is on and working well and not at all for the time it is working 1/2 assed.
 
They did some work on the lines again today and still didn't find out what is causing the real issues and so it is still working like crap. You would figure that for 70$ a month they could get it working and yeah that 70$ is for JUST internet.

Feel free to close this post, It could be months before they fix it as they now believe it is an engineering issue and the the Fiber-optic Node needs split and a new Node added parallel to the existing one. I guess till then I simply have to suffer with the 6-20 % average packet loss. Though I did tell them that until it works correctly that they will not be paid for it.
 
i think its about that time you start mooching off of your neighbors internet. :P
