Admin

[Kyo]

I'm just curious what the best way is to go about becoming an admin in the CS:S division or possibly another...

The first thing you have got to do is NOT ASKING for admin privileges.

The best way you will get a promotion is: play the game, be friendly, dont ever argue with the admins, dont be disrespectful and get noticed at ventrilo at meetings and chatting with other Div members.

Youll realize how easy is it by following that (or in general, the whole commandments that u signed off)

Good luck! any questions PM me

Well I'm glad you want to know about how to become an admin.

There is no number one rule to become an admin, but the surefire way to not become one is to ask for it.

To get noticed, you'll want to make useful posts on the forums. Being on the forums constantly is a great way to get noticed. Don't +1 your post count every chance you get, but make useful posts that benefit the thread and discussion.

You should also come on our vent server. The ventrilo information can be found on the left hand side of the sight, the first bar under eGO Community. Coming in Ventrilo can get you noticed as a member who is active and is making a good effort in the community.

Antoher great way is to just play. As an e, your most important job is to play on the servers and have fun. Be active in the servers, follow the rules, be active, and in time you will get promoted.

There is no 100% sure "How to get admin" path to getting it, you have to prove yourself as someone who can be trusted with it. You can do that by being a valuable member, and you can be that by being active and being respectful throughout the community.

What he said ^ I'd like to add PMing beta saying "hi" helps. jk. But on a serious note, get to know the leadership (make friends with them).

Skill level has nothing to do with promotions. EdgeGamers promotes on the basis of a member's maturity. We would rather have someone who can barely play, is a lot of fun, and carries with them a sense of integrity, than someone who is PWNTASTIC and acts immaturely.

Getting promoted to =(eG)=?, =(eGO)=? or Leadership has nothing to do with your time in the community. It is the effort you put into the servers and the contributions you make to the clan that are factored into all promotions.

Other aspects we look at include:

1. Your playing time in the servers and love of the game.

2. Your maturity and ability to make the correct decisions in the servers. (Are you ready to switch sides when needed, or do you instead just say, "TEAMS"?)

3. Your forum activity - Do you contribute to the clan outside of playing the game? (Some members are promoted only on server time and not on forum activity. People are rarely promoted based on forum activity alone.)

4. Location - We might promote members who live in time zones outside of the USA quicker since we need admin coverage during all hours.

5. Donations and Dedicated Supporter status do not guarantee a promotion, but they do get you noticed.

Leadership is always watching to see who is ready, but the best way NOT to get promoted is by ASKING FOR A PROMOTION. Just play and have fun.
