GeForce 9800 out in febuary ?

ive heard some rumors that its going 2 be out in febuary has anyone heard about a time yet ?

its a little faster and smaller than the 8800's. nothing worth upgrading. id wait for another year or two and then buy it when everything else that is coming out is cheap as well =p

yeah ive head about the series 9 cards last year but they should wait another year to release them since the series 8 just came off the line

Ok it's not going to be smaller then the 8800 and it depends on which one... the 8800GTX or Ultra or GT or GTS... and also the 9800GTX make's very little sense, it's two GTX GPUs on two modules on one card but it's only 40% more powerful then a 8800GTX plus I think it runs hot, maybe a normal full load of 120C, lol but still it isn't smaller that's just a photo making it look small but it's much more longer

My best guess is, to accommodate the 9800, you'll need a High-Tower that's custom to be long rather than tall, as you can see the fan isn't large in height rather then in length

I've read on two different web sites that they're coming out late February or some time in March. That being said, the 9800GX2 is just going to be two cores on one card, similar to the 3870X2 but more powerful gaming-wise. Also, the 9600 is rumored to have a 256-bit memory interface, with standard 512MB of GDDR3/4. From pictures that I've seen, it's going to look just like an 8800GT (and be basically the same thing, but cheaper). I really hope that nvidia fixes the cooling systems on their top-end cards, though. 90C load on an 8800GT is just a little too much.

P.S. 9800GX2 can be quad-SLI'd. (finally catching up with CrossfireX)

quad sli is over kill but i guess with the skulltrail and its dual quad core cpus everything theyre making is designed to be overkill
