I agree that the general thing doesn't work. It's never a good idea to do that because it makes us seem like we're trying to mass produce recruits. That doesn't sound like a family-style community to me.

Add them on steam and talk to them. They don't bite. If they do, screenshot the convo and then dropbox it.

When I recruit, I ask them to add me first instead of just visiting the website when I do a general message. This way, it's more personal.
