If you live in the state of Indiana or any other state that has BRIGHTHOUSE as phone/internet/cable. Be very cautious.
I called last week to get Cable phone and internet from them. My tech comes out and only has a work order for cable and internet.
So I get that fixed, Then he takes 4 HOURS to hook everything up.
After he leaves the Brighthouse cable box blows along with my brand new 46" HDTV, ALONG with my PS3... Yep you read that right.
What the tech did is he did not ground the wire right.
He hooked it to a wire coming out of the house that was NOT a ground wire. There was a ground wire running into a ground POST less than 3" inches from where he "Grounded" my cable.
I have called and called and called Brighthouse to get someone out here to look at this and reimburse me for my TV and PS3. Someone came out today and said no its not our problem. Another guy comes out while he is here and goes well it is our problem, the power backed up in the cable line it all came through at once went through our box, out the HDMI cord into your TV and right back out your other HDMI cord to your PS3.
Here is the catch, They want to give me the run around well go have them fixed and everything will be fine, go do this with YOUR money out of YOUR pocket to fix OUR mess up.
Not only am I out of 200 dollars for installation and everything I am also out 300 dollars plus another 700 dollars for the TV. All together I am out of 1,200 dollars that Brighthouse is refusing to pay..
What I am trying to say here is be very careful with Brighthouse, If you have a choice of something besides Brighthouse take them instead. Its not worth the money.
