When is the next event for BC2?

Also, i'm constantly in vent and have a question... Is there a method to the madness in there related to the BC2 division... It has like Rooms 1-6 but are certain rooms dedicated to certain servers???... It seems like if the rooms were labeled to a specific server it sure would be easier to find people to play with that are in your particular server...

I find myself in random rooms a lot with people playing World of Tanks rather than BC2.

The rooms aren't really dedicated for one server per room .. usually we just pop in the rooms and see what everyone is doing.. then sit in the one with the most relevance to what we're doing.

As far as the promotion thing. Like Vertag0 said.. asking will delay. Being active in the servers is one way to get recognized, as is being active on the forums and ventrilo. Promotions are also based on your behavior in our servers and towards others.

A good amount of people in our division play WoT. Some of them go to WoT vent channels instead of sitting in the BF:BC2 channels.

Not much you can do, though. They're going to sit in whatever channel they want to.

Yes asking will not get you promoted any faster. What i suggest you try doing is:

1. Familiarize yourself with eGO rules and policies and why they are what they are. (ppl love to question rules, so make sure you know why they are there)

2. Even if there is an admin in the server and you aren't one, does not mean you shouldnt be calling ppl out for language and what not. If someone gives you trouble about not being an admin or w/e while enforcing rules, find an admin or pm an advisor. Also if there are no admins in the server, do not say anything in chat about that :)

3. Be polite and courteous ingame, joke around with ppl, show them that eGO's servers are a fun place to play. For example if someone is getting kinda mad about something (getting killed a lot) and they havent broke any rules yet, try and cheer them up by joking around with them, just make sure you judge situations right.

4. Dont talk about fight club

5. Try and knife any eGO and up members as often as possible and try to be in the same vent channel so you can hear them cry!

6. Do not eat any cake given to you by ppl named Kerak, P3Nve, or VeRtAg0. It is a lie and a trap, also there might be random assortments of metal hardware in the cake. And possibly you will be infected by the T-virus by eating said cake.

OH!... there is a calendar on the left hand menu.... Most events will be added to that calendar when they are decided upon. Most divisions hold big events once a month. There are some divisions that have little weekly events as well :)
 
We will be having a squad deathmatch tournament in mid-may. More details will be available at our division meeting on the 30th.


I'm often playing other games in the BC2 channels so people can find me if they need me. ;]

Just to add to this point a little bit. If there are admins in the server and a rule is broken don't jump on it right away. The admins may be discussing among themselves on the best way to handle the situation. If the infraction goes for about 45 seconds to a minute without a response by an admin then I'd say feel free to bring it up in vent or throw out a professional warning using please and thank you.

Always remember why you joined eGO though, the play games and have fun.
 
i have been trying to find my answers in the forums but geeze... its massive i just dont know where to look...

Can someone explain to me the casino gold or give me the forum link about it so i can read about it. I frankly am having trouble finding the post.

Also, what exactly is a F10 or Alt-4 Joke? Im too old to keep up with computer lingo these days...but I am quite curious about it. Can someone pm me or put me in the loop.

I have actually been pretty good about resolving issues while keeping people calm when there is no admins..... But the question i constantly get asked, "Why can we not use profanity when the characters are constantly cursing in this game? It seems like this always start commotion among players. How do you you guys respond to this comment?

I have just been telling people it is server rules and they want to keep a clean community for all players regardless of age. A community that is fun and respects one another.

Not sure if that is the correct way to go about it... but seems to work to prevent chaos.

Casino Cash is just a method we use to reward people. It's mainly used as a way to set bounties and for bragging rights. It can also be used to play card games, etc at the Casino: Click on the casino button on the left panel near the top of the site.

F10 and Alt+F4 jokes are things people do to inexperienced computer users.

As Urban Dictionary explains for Alt+F4:

1. These keys will exit a program instead of using the exit icons.
2. A fun way to get rid of noobs in multiplayer games and chat rooms.

F10 was a hotkey to exit out of Source-based games until Valve removed it due to complaints. Players would prank each other and tell newer players to press it to gain access to special functions, and thus they would exit the game.

I usually tell them that it is a rule we have on all our servers regardless of rating.

If they say that we can turn the chat filter on just tell them that some words we do not consider bad language are filtered out by the chat filter.

If they keep up with it I tell them that If they don't like out rules they can play somewhere else and to drop the discussion. If they don't stop they get a wonderful little kick.

Yeah theres someone who's always accused to be a hacker in PhuBai... who could be that person... any ideas? :sleep:

Just play, enjoy the game, follow the rules, be on ventrilo and Knife Krod :thumbup:

BTW our cakes are VIRUS FREE!!! :cool:
