What's wrong with bc2?

I installed my bc2 about a week ago. First i had to enable DMZ in my router to be able to connect a server. And now, when I connect a server I get lag spikes and my ping hits to 400-600 in the first 40 seconds and it gets back to normal again.
Some servers have auto kick features. I get kicked even if my ping gets back to normal after 30-40 seconds.
This has never happened before any of those updates. Any idea why it's happening?

Not sure what it is, but everyone has been getting lag spikes for the last couple of weeks. Not just on eGO servers but on all I,ve played on, pretty sure it has EA written on it somehow.

Turk I believe that this is a BC2 wide issue that we think is due to degradation on EA's side. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Thanks man. Can you guys confirm this? I mean do you get lag spikes first 10-30 seconds when you join the server and then all get back to normal?

My lag spikes seem to be more random. Sometimes I'll run perfectly smoothly and other times every 10 seconds my ping is spiking to 999.
