running a minecraft server, bukkit problems

so,im running the server, and followed all the directions on this link http://wiki.bukkit.org/Setting_up_a_server. I didnt download the latest client from that page, but from bukkit.org, on the front page. I follow this tutorial also, since I have windows XP too. The only part I am stuck on is the part is logging in with your ip address. When I login, it says that I have a outdated client. Please help!

What version of bukkit are you using, and what version is your client?

its the most recent one

Of both? (so, client=1.6.6 and bukkit=818 or up)

assuming that both are up to date
have you got the right IP and port set in the server.properties file?

also, posting Server.log might make this easier
