can hear everything on my headset... but not people talking on ventrillo

I have a problem, I can hear everything on my headset, but when people talk through ventrillo, I hear them through my speakers. I run HDMI connection to my graphics card to my monitor btw.

go to setup in ventrilo and make sure you have the correct output device selected.
