I don't want to sound pessimistic, but is that really parkour? They seem like they are just doing the same jumps off of a higher object onto a padded mat.

Is what I thought parkour was, not doing the same jump out of a window onto a mat, but I don't do it so maybe its just an ignorant viewpoint on my part from lack of first hand knowledge

That is what parcours is. But I'm pretty sure his friend was practicing, no point in going all out if there's a chance you could get hurt badly right?

I know, ive seen that video 100's of times. When ever I go to LA, I will go to tempest freerunning academy for open gym.

Parkour is the objective of getting from one spot to the other in the quickest amount of time.
So, yah I thought they did pretty well.

your actually kindve right. Parkour is usually a efficant way to get from point A to point B. This video has lots of freerunning, and I don't think it has any parkour at all. Freerunning is mostly finding an obstacle, and doing parkour on it.

im not a pk expert but ive seen enough vids with pk, and i know ppl who organize pk in BC(canada) and ive done pk for 3 years.
but ur video they are just showing the air part, u cant see how he landed and stuff, plus they are landing on the mat that is 2feet thick.. i can do a belly flop from the 2nd floor and i wouldnt hurt..
im not saying that they arent doing pk,they are. and obviously they wont be as good as david belle or any other yamakasi, but still u gotta get creative with ur moves espectially when u have such a big mat..
