alright, I just bought myself a new computer from dell the specs are as follows:

-i7-2600 (3.4GHz) processor
-8GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz
-AMD Radeon HD 6770
-and a bunch of other stuff that is available on request

The price was $1250.00 +tax. Will my new comp be able to handle things like Cryis 2 and ArmA2 among other things, skyrim? any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Good processor, 8GB ram, yes. Not sure about ATI Radeon HD 6770, but other than that, yes.

Well seeing as how Crysis 2 requires a dual core cpu (Intel or AMD based), 2gb ram, & ATI Radeon 3850 (all this is minimum stats), id say your safe on this 1. I dont forsee ArmA being harder on min stats than Crysis 2 tho. After all, you just spent over $1200 on a brand new pc, so I highly doubt that you will have any issues.

well, thank you guys, i am most likely just paranoid. everything will most likely turn out OK. but thank you very much for all the help non the less. it greatly appreciated!

New power supply and graphics card. Unless you enjoy low settings at 720p. (okay, a slight exaggeration)

lol more than slight. the 6770 is a pretty good card for the price. Its essentially a 5770, but updated to handle the basics of dx11 (if thats your thing). It does other things more than a 5770, but that is just one of the more noticeable things.

Pretty good build, not sure about the graphics card...

The 5770 is a dx11 part. The 6770 is a good entry level gaming card. Lots of horse power for the price.

This thread screams: Can I run it.com

That website is handy, but it's sort of deceptive cuz all it does is looks at your comp specs and compares it to publisher's minimum/recommended.

There needs to be a website that tells you HOW WELL you can run it. Not just whether you can.

e.g. my computer gets 60 fps on High video settings on BC2. I'd appreciate a website/tool that tells me an approx fps on each video setting on different games... don't know how hard that is to make, though. :confused1:

Oops, I read that as 6670. The 6770 is simply a rebranded 5770. Yeah, it might run them at a normal resolution, but certainly not on high.

everything fine except for the dell part >.> but it should run stuff, although being dell it may overheat, have inadequate power and will prolly die in a year or two

eh, i dunno. my small office area is almost always at a cool 18-20 degrees Celsius and my air conditioner runs 365 (i pay rent in an apt, so i don't pay extra for electricity) cuz im cool like that!
