Requesting a map?

hey guys

im just wondering is it possible to request a map to be put onto one of our servers or how does this work, who decides what maps we host,if people vote on them or watever?

i used to enjoy playing some other maps before i joined ego but once i joined i only really play on ego servers now,theres was 2 maps in paticular that i really loved and im wondering is there any way to get them put onto our rotation on some server maybe?

on both of the maps it was as if the players were shrunk down to toy size and all the things in the envoironment where big. one map was in a kitchen type area i think it was called rats and another map was possibly called toy box although im not sure on that name, it was in a house,the map consisted of a bedroom and a landing with a stairs,both maps really enjoyable,mayb you guys saw them before

or do we even have any map makers that make maps? would love for one of these kind of maps to be made if we cant use the originals due to copyright or watever issues might be there

Like Toxxin says, sometimes we do maps like that for events. Dragonhill is the resident mapper.

I think the first map you are thinking of is cp_toys. We do actually have that map on the events server and it is used sometimes during events.

I believe the other map is Rats_Tequila_b01. We've talked about adding to the events server but we haven't really gotten anywhere past the talks. I doubt the map will be added soon as it is a large map size and would take some time for people on slower internet connections to download.

wow at that rats tequilla map, thats not the one i have played before but damn it looks amazing..shame we cant have that one,i am one of these people with a slower internet connection but i owuldnt mind even if it takes 25 mins to download such a map lol


i guess ill have to keep my eye out for the events,shame i cant play the map everyday though

Yeah, unfortunately those maps aren't popular enough or played enough to warrant their own server, but we do play them and other fun custom maps at events all the time!

I vote for bringing back the Auction server so we can put our own on it, lol.
