Vietnam worth it?

I need some Edgegamers members to tell if the games worth it before I go waste the gas in my car and the money in my pocket.

I'm glad I got it although I play regular BC2 90% of the time at the moment.

Not seeing any deals on steam or direct2drive - currently $14.99.

You know you have to have BC2 to get vietnam right? Steam has BC2, vietnam and specact as a package for $29 right now, which is a pretty good deal.

It's not worth it unless it's on sale - it just was for like $5. I got it while it was on sale a while back and it's okay, but it could've been better. Also, no singleplayer, but that's not a big issue really. Another complaint I have is that vehicles basically own the maps, even more so than BC2.

Well I mean, to me it is a game with lower popularity than bc2 itself. However the weapons are a tad limited, with few maps. However the gameplay is fun, it doesn't really match up to the original bf Vietnam but it is fun. The maps are decent in size, there are awesome patrol boats, huey is sweet and you can play music while flying and players below can hear the music, flamethrowers, flamethrowers on tanks fun game. Problem is popularity wise it is falling.

ALL IN ALL... Nobody can really tell you if it's worth it or not.

It all comes down to the individual player, whether he or she likes smaller maps or bigger maps, vehicle maps or infantry maps...

Vanilla BC2's maps scale are larger compared to the maps in vietnam.

The weapons are a little more accurate in vietnam.

People die a little quicker in Vietnam normal mode compared to Vanilla normal mode.

Tanks and Choppers are alot easier to use..

Thats about it really... smaller maps, more accurate weapons, people die faster, vehicles are easy to use.....

Other than the up above...your really not going to know if Vietnam > Vanilla BC2 or the other way around UNTIL you actually try it.

If you can keep playing vanilla until BF3 comes out(it's around the corner and i am NOT excited about it(true story!lol)) than on the bright side.....you will have saved up $15 or more or less...

If there is another deal on it on steam or something I would pick it up. I personally enjoy it pretty good for the price.

Although more variety would be nice, I'd still rank it above "vanilla" BC2 and below the original BF:V. The main downside is the popularity issue, and for that reason alone I'd wait for a sale.
