Bad FPS or Bad Ping?

I used to be able to play almost any Source map with no issues regarding game play. Just recently, maybe a month ago, i started to notice that normal maps began to run really, slow, and I can't tell if its lag or poor fps. But I noticed that orange maps run really well, but not now they're slowing down, I barely use any weapons, and using an automatic weapon seems to slow my computer slow incredibly fast.

Some people told me to update my drivers, which I have no clue how to do, and every website ive searched on the internet is of no help.

I also find it hard to believe that my PC is having trouble with FPS, and I'm either using my cable connection at my house, or my schools internet, which is faster than my houses.

I'm running Duo 1.6Ghz and 2gb of ram.

Any suggestions? Help?

cowboy do this for me :
click start
then click run
in the command type: "dxdiag" (without quotes)
and take a snapshot or just type out what it says that will give u what you need to fill that out
