My hard drive just died. I bought a new one and the computer is working fine. I totally unistalled steam and DOD, and I can join and sit in Spec as long as I want, but 30 seconds after I join the game, I get kicked out of the game completely. Any ideas???

what message are you getting? any? have you opened your console to see what's going on in there?
No message at all, just booted and totally gone out of the entire game completely. It is like I never started DOD, but I am still in steam. I have tried everything I can think of, including going to the steam page and trying all their suggestions. The amazing thing is really nothing should have changed with my computer.
So far I have: Uninstalled/Reinstalled Steam and the Game, checked video and sound conflicts, changed in game settings to all minimums, disabled all firewalls and antivirus programs, disable sound, can't think of anything else.

could just be a botched steam install if you checked everything else. I dunno, I would suggest reinstalling steam, updating it fully (pretty sure you do), and try again. If it doesn't fix it, send steam a support thing. www.steampowered.com

Ive had the same problem with other games, hmm I'm goona have to say its your video card but im not sure . What exactly hapened with your old hardrive maybe that has something to do with it? If you have TF2 or CS is the same thing happening with them? And does the same thing happen on other games? Could be a game glitch maybe you should call Steam Support or something?
