ok. so apparently, Gamestop decided to remove coupons from the pc version of Deus Ex Human revolution because the coupons were meant to redeem free copies of the game for the Onlive service; Onlive were Gamestop's competitors in the digital distribution of games. Guess Gamestop didn't like that, so they decided to take them out, and sell them as new. that's right, they opened the package and sold it as new. Gamestop stated this though, "Square Enix packed the competitor's coupon with our DXHR product without our prior knowledge and we did pull and discard these coupons." Now there's legal implications about tampering with the product, and other things. However, Square Enix was ok with this for some reason. Gamestop later pulled all the pc copies of DXHR from all their stores for recall.

I worked at GAME for a while, and it is fully against all rules within GAME to sell an unsealed game new, or to reseal games and sell them new.
Infact, i think it may actually be against fair trading rules to do so.
Gamestop have been spoken about doing things like this for many years.
