ipod touch help

so, long story short, some water managed to get it's way into the headphone jack/port where i would connect it to the computer. when i go to turn it on, it doesn't do anything, meaning the screen is completely blank. is my ipod completely toast, or is there a way to save it somehow?

Is it just the screen blank and the rest of it is turning on? If that is the case the the screen just needs to get replaced. If it is not turning on at all then water did more extensive damage. An apple store may be your best bet for getting the answer if they can fix it or not.

if its broken, you mine as well just buy a new one, iv delt with apply before, they want you to pay almost as much a brand new one would cost...so you mine as well just buy a freaking new one

I am not sure if this helps at all,

But the same kinda thing happened with my Iphone. I left it off for a day.
When I plugged it back in the next day, it wouldn't eve charge. At that point I thought that all hope was lost, but when i came home from work it was on the charger still and charging. I took it off the charger and it has worked ever since.

In my experience, the only chance you have with water damage to electronics, is allowing them to dry off for AWHILE and then attempting to reuse the device later.

thanks for the help guys, but i took it to a repair shop and it is completely toast. motherboard got fried...
