I'm am in the works of setting up some type of contest to give people who might not have a chance to buy it, have a chance to get it.

It will probably involve a recruiting deal with your main division. I'm going to get with some of the advisors and see what could work.


I would need a list of everyone wanting to play TOR but might not have the funds to get it at launch. I'm doing this to help people get to play this awesome game.

I'm not sure that Origin supports gifting, though I could be wrong.

You could always preorder from a box store (Gamestop / EB / Wherever) and just give them the CD Keys to apply to their account.

This is an awesome idea, btw. I've already got mine preordered, but it'd be nice to get some other folks playing!

That is a pretty cool idea, though hopefully whoever wins will be able to pay the monthly and all or they'll only be using it for 30 days. I'd partake but considering I've had a swtor fund sitting in my bank for the last year awaiting its release I best let someone else get the freebie heh.

Something you could do is get the boxed version yourself, and then take a picture of the key + receipt and email it to the winner.

That way, if something might happen to his account, he'll also have the stuff needed to prove it's his/her.

I've thought that and maybe even just buying some physical copies and email the winners the prizes + an eGO T-shirt if supplies are there.

Another suggestion, winning is dependant on actually subscribing after the 30 free days included is up, with an understanding that if they're not going to want to subscribe, they shouldn't enter the draw.

Perhaps even requesting they give the account back if they decide it's not for them if they don't sub.

I'd just hate to see you pony up $60 times however many just to give people a free trial.

I agree. I will only have a certain amount I will give away. The selection process will make it to were the people who get it are going to play it for a long while.

I already have a crew up ready to play The Old Republic, I plan on preordering it in november...however if I win this it would be awesome
