Battlefield 3 Long Range Sniping

I have two how-to questions.
1) How do you determine what the hitbox does at such a range? On Tehran, from the spawn (where I am frequently pinned), I can't hit anybody at even the first flag. I just assumed I either needed a better gun or sniping at distance is more luck than aiming.
2) How do you even get a screenshot? Is there a default key?

Highest I have gotten is 322
To answer your second question first, If you add origin to steam as a non steam game, you can still get the overlay and screenshots work. Been doing this since the BETA.
For your first question now. After getting so many kills it starts to get repetitive. You remember where to aim from the distance you're at, to where the enemy is at. It does take alot of practice till you start getting the hang of sniping. Some faster than others! One thing I notice with the M98B, is that you dont need to aim as high like other rifles.

Why I didn't think of Steam I don't know. Hey I am already running 3 apps to run the game, might as well throw Steam on top. At least it works the best and the F12 feature is great.
I think I will have to consider using Vent again. I always hated it because I have no interest in hearing the other team's chatter, and running yet another program, but BF3 may have forced my hand.

Good to know about running steam and being able to utilize the screen shot feature!
Here is where I got the HOW TO.

And once you add origin to steam , you want to run origin from steam, that give you the ability to get the overlay. If you just run origin from its own .exe icon, the overlay will not work.
And since BF3 might be the only game you play on origin. Once you add origin in steam, go to origin in your steam library, right click and hit properties. You can now change the name from origin to Battlefield 3 like must of us have done in the division.
