BF3 crashing a lot, halp

So I just got a new GPU. A amd 6950 2 gig. But now my game crashes without fail 4-5 minutes in. I did a furmark stress test for a while with no issues so it is obviously battlefield. (latest drivers, 11.10)

Does anyone know what is going on?

Is Origin crashing, or just BF3? The newest update for Origin has a lot of people crashing, and Origin has to be open to play.

I havnt updated anything since i got my card (besides drivers). And it started happening right after i got my card today.

Since I have Updated orgin I have noticed alot of crashes that I didn't have before... However after you launch battle log from orgin close it, it doesn't have to be open to play bf3... No crash then... At least for me

Yeah it looks like you guys were right. I still get the "battlefield closed expectantly" 1/3 times i join a server. But the mid-game crashes were fixed.Had to restart origin then go offline mode. This disables chat in origin.

Such a shame that such a good game can be ruined by the intense herp derp'ing by a single company.

To fix the issue with Origin so you can use chat, go offline, go to task manager ---> processes ---> origin.exe ---> set affinity. Set it only to run on CPU 1 (this includes hyperthreads), and voila, chat will work and Origin won't crash. Just be sure to set BF3's affinity to all cores after you launch it!

Sorry I didn't respond, here are my system specs:

RAM - 4GB
GFX - ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (No other details)
Processor - AMD Phenom II X4 B25 Processor 2.70ghz

What happens is, it just crashes to desktop randomly and nothing else, no BSOD, no blackness, just a pure crash. Its soo annoying, I am doing brilliantly, like 14-3 and then it crashes! and none of my stats get saved!!!!

I have all the latest drivers and I just have no idea what it could be.

Try to turn down your graphics settings. When I go to my options in bf3 auto puts everything to high but I crash 4-5 minutes after playing. When I put them to low no issues and I can play all day. Untill the patch I will continue to play on low settings (hey game still looks amazing even on low why bother with headache)

Also when my game crashes it freezes up and I gotta hit a key to exit the game and i go back to seeing battlelog.

My rig is as follows so if anyone has any idea's to help me fix so i can play it on beaaautiful settings I'd love the input.
