Suppressor glitch

Ever wonder how mortars were targeting you while firing a silenced weapon? Apparently certain weapons still make you appear on mini map when being fired even while suppressed

Proven. Tested and true, this is bad, I was under the impression no one could see me with my silencer on, now I dont have to sacrifice damage.... awwweee yeah. but shame on dice/ea for saying all silenced weapons dont show on mini map

I hope they fix it, any weapon that has a suppressor shouldn't show on the mini-map, what's the point of a suppressor if the majority of the weapons don't hide you.

I didn't read the article, however there's still times when you'll be spoted and should show up on the map... just because you're silenced doesn't mean you should never show up...

tanner and i tested it because i was in disbelief, we went into HC conquest, on highway, it was just him and I when the round started, i went to D, hid behind a building, he went to the edge of his spawn, and hid behind a wall, we were at opposite sides of the map, witha dozen buildings between us and no one to spot. I shot with the silenced m27 and he saw me on the mini map and he shot with the scar silenced and i saw him on the mini map.

If you still dont believe it, try it with someone, lol

I am, I've got a couple things I'm curious about myself. I'll be on sometime after 9:30 PST.

It seems DICE doesnt want you to be engineer and silenced weapons or support. But then again is it a bit ridiculous to have silenced LMGs

Personally, I might still use the silencers on my M4A1 and AKs-74u for now. I'm used to them, and I mostly use them on CQB maps. Happy fragging, and thanks for the info guys!
