Recent game crashes had me do a repair to my BF3 (ala steam repair) which pretty much ruined the game.
Origin forced me to install the game, but after installing the "install" button popped up again, making me unable to play.
This is how I fixed it:
- Opened BF3 folder location
- Renamed BF3 folder to Battlefield 33 (what you rename it to is irrelevant)
- Quit Origin and started it again
- Began downloading about 10mb of the game
- Quit Origin
- Moved all files except patch and installer from the "Battlefield 33" folder to the freshly made "Battlefield 3" folder (though I think you can drag the patch folder along)
- Started Origin and began downloading at 98.4%
And now I can play BF3 again!
