I haven't played a game outside of FPS (CS, DOD, BF2, Combat Arms, BFBC2, BF3) since my runescape days (5yrs ago). (other than mass effect 2 <3)

Anyways i had to go out and get swtor cause im a slight sw fan and wanted to get a little of the mmorpg action. Its actally installing as I type this. And cause this laptop isnt the best at BF3 but still plays it pretty good (not bad for a $450 laptop ;))

To the point: what tips and suggestions do yall have for new players (not going to be a hardcore player, maybe a couple hours every other day or so). any good websites? (i know ive seen a few in the forums).

and I want to say hi. My IGN will be Sten or Sten1 or something and I am planning on being jedi sentinel.
 
hi sten, if you like star wars then u should have fun. make sure you join the port nowhere server with the rest of us. if u r crafting this website has alot of info http://www.torhead.com/crew-missions/catg/2 out side of that hop on vent if u have any questions or pm me in game. ingame name same as forums, i also have a jedi sentinel, alot of fun, nice dps. also ask someone for invite to guild. mostly everyone can invite.
 
mannnnnnnn i didnt know you cant move servers once you create a char in one server. but the next account i make (prob bounty hunter) will be in port nowhere
 
should just create new toon on port nowhere. ur going to need help. u can have toons on empire and republic on same server too. but would recommend just switching now. first 10 lvls are cake, to redo. trust me
 
Yeah i would just swithc, even thought you dont plan to play everyday, you will still have more fun when you do play if you got your guild to talk to and ask questions and pvp with! all lots more fun! But glad to see you!

good thinking man, ill start a new char this afternoon. idk what kind yet. maybe bounty hunter maybe a trooper
 
well if you want, i just stared at Smuggler last night, got him up to lvl 6 in about an hour, i also have a 32 sage, but im kinda bored playing with him right now cuz as a healer, things are gooing too slow, so if you do a trooper, we can group up for the first flash point (lvl 10) and some the heroics from there on out! it would be fun! Just post your ingame name on here and whom u end up going so we can get ya a guild invite! I will be on later around 4pm CST and then ill be on probably from like 7-11ish? and for sure come in vent! ill be in the SWTOR Channels (Jakob "Jak3rs" Vetsch)
 
Ok i created a bounty hunter in the post nowhere server.... how do I join the guild? im new sorry my ign for the bh is "Stenbh"
 
well you can join vent and ask one of the advisors from the empire guild, or someone will probably send you a request once they see it here!
 
Someone from the empire will see half to invite u, I can't cuz I'm on republic. :(
