Anyone else getting this error on their steam browser?

I have not been able to access my community, store, or news section on steam for the past few days now including using several web browsers FF ,IE Chrome. It just times out or gives me the error in the title.

It could be my ISP (Verizon) but I get a response back when i ping the steam site.

it's the weirdest thing since I've made no significant nor minor changes to my network layout. A registry issue perhaps?
 
Because of the issue previously stated I can't access the link you posted since it's on the steam site.

Here is what they wrote

Check your computer for any proxy settings and remove them if they exist.
Click Start -> Run
Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK.
Click the Connections tab.
Click the LAN settings button.
If any items on this window are checked, uncheck them.
Click OK to close any open windows and restart your computer.
Launch Steam and test the issue.

Thanks BBB, but i tried the proxy settings already and none have been set and none of the boxes were checked off either. I prob have to contact my ISP and talk to them tomorrow hoping it's their issue. I was able to locate some topics that stated Verizon Fios had some issues with steam, but for them to just show up all of a sudden makes no sense to me.
