Other BF3 guns.....

So I have been trying to use some other guns I have never touched with my 2 main classes I play instead of the usual M16A4 (Assault), SCAR-H and G36C (Engie). I've been playing with the FAMAS and the F2000 for Assault, and the SSG 553 and A-91 for Engie.

The FAMAS iron sights are horrible. finally unlocked the ACOG for it but still not sure about this gun. Is the FAMAS a decent gun when you unlock some other sights and what not? If the gun isn't up to par with some of the others, I guess I won't bother. I'm sure I'll play with it eventually when I get bored.

The F2000 dmg seems to be pretty crappy. Although my aim sometimes is crappy so I have to take that into account, but when I'm on with my aim, the gun is very frustrating.

The 553 and A-91 for engie are really nice guns so far. I'm looking forward to maxing out the 553 first and see what happens. Not sure if it can replace the SCAR or G36 though. The G36 was my rage gun in BF2 so I kind of have a sweet spot for that gun.

FAMAS is only a good gun if u burst fire it and yea the iron sights r crap. I would recommend using the burst fire for short to medium range and single for long range. If u got good aim, a burst to the head should do it. As for the f2000 i still can't use it.

As for the g36, great gun when using full auto and controlling ur fire,3x burst.

The trick is to not try and use every gun use a gun for 1 round with default everything and thebone that all most fells the most natural use that one, but that is just my idea

I don't really care for those guns, myself. I thought the famas was blah and the f2000 ROF was too fast for crappy aim. I am using LMG's at the moment. Love the extended clips and good damage. M249 is my fav. Then the AEK-971

Extended clips..M249...wut?

Personally I like the AK-74M...its a very well balanced gun. Plus its iron sights are extremely easy to use, so using it with foregrip and nothing else looks cool
btw did the weapon changes ever get implemented? Haven't been able to play BF3 for weeks
I also like the G3A3. It takes a bit of work, but very rewarding. Accurate at long range, higher damage, but slower and a bit more kick. Plus I like the simplistic look

I got the heavy barrel for the FAMAS yesterday and the gun is performing better for now. So far, I'm liking the FAMAS better and better every time I use it.


I think I'm going to scrap the F2000, that gun makes me rage when I unload a clip and get one shotted by a pistol......ON HARDCORE!!! lol

Famas is a great gun with some of the close quarter sights.

AEK-971 is easily one of the most powerful assault rifles in BF3 and works very well with attachments (specifically silencers and close ranged scopes).
In terms of sheer killing power it contends well with the f2000 but typically the aek-971 has much more controllable recoil and spread.

As for engineer... most people say the SSG 553 is the ultimate gun but honestly i find that the UMP45 and A-91 produce greater results especially at the engineers most effective (close) range

Man the one suggestion that I have for you and one I followed myself. Get 100 kills with every weapon. You will find the ones you like, hate, ones that are boring, the ones that are a bunch of fun. You will figure out how to use every weapon. And you get all those cool dog tags for 100 kills . im on my way to get 500 kills with every wep. when u get 500 kills you get the right dog tag for each weapon.

I have already started this, this week. The FAMAS is a nice gun once a got some better sights. I am going to use the AEK-971 more also. I used it a bit at first and moved on. I LOOOOOVE the UMP-45 so far.
