Desktop Problems.

EXACT ERROR MESSAGES: None
WHAT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE IS AFFECTED: Desktop icons.
WHEN / HOW OFTEN DOES THE PROBLEM OCCUR: As soon
as I log into my personal account for the computer. Whenever I click on anything in the Start menu (Which will not load/start-up anything from the Start menu because of the problem.) And if it occurs for other things when started up, I will post them here.
RECENT CHANGES (SOFTWARE / HARDWARE / ETC): Nothing new I can remember.
LAST TIME COMPUTER WORKED FINE: About 4-5 days ago.
RECENT EVENTS: Nothing that would usually mess with my computer.
THINGS YOU HAVE ALREADY TRIED TO FIX PROBLEM: McAfee computer scan to see if I have any viruses.

@ second half of your post: Press the windows button + r to open the run box.
Type in "dxdiag" and run that.
First tab will give you most of that info and the "Display" tab will give you the video card while the "sound1" or "sound2" tabs will give you your sound card.

@ rest: Reading that got me confuzzled. What is the problem here? Is it that nothing runs in general or just that the start menu is dead?

You mention a personal account. Does this occur on any other accounts or just yours?

1. I can't start any of those appliances. But was already helped to find most of them.

2.Sorry for the confusion, but now that I try, only the left side works when I start them up. So the 'My Documents', 'My Pictures', 'My Music', etc.

3. And yes I think it only occurs on mine. I'll edit if I find anything else.
