The Website Feels Cluttered...

I'm new, but the few times I've visited this website, my claustrophobia always kicks in. There are so many ads that are spread around, and I can't say that I feel comfortable on this site. It looks as though there are at least 6 ads on this thread creation page, which seems to be a lot. They're also rather large ads in my opinion. I get that eGO needs to be funded, but isn't there some easier way to do that? I seriously think the website needs a makeover.

Hi there Razor,

I understand where you are coming from, it does seem cluttered however since I have been here almost 4 years I can navigate it with my eyes closed and it seems like second nature to me. Just browse around and trust me after a few days you'll get used to it and appreciate how much effort has gone into making it as simple as possible because trust me, it has undergone several face lifts to make it more user-friendly.

As for the adverts I can't help you there, I use ad-block so I haven't experienced any ads on this forum.

Get your version of adblock for your browser for free or donate monthly.

As a dedicated supporter you would not have any ads.

In the future this might be something to dropbox to leadership instead of posting it publicly, as the vast majority of responders (myself included) really can't do anything to change the site.

Honestly, we wouldn't want to. Darth is right, this website is actually much easier to navigate then it used to be. I hardly notice the ads, they've never been a problem.

Now if your ads are streaming video, that is a problem and you need to drop box that so it can be taken care of, as that isn't supposed to happen.

If the Ads really bug you i guess you can get dedicated supporter
but i always thought are forums are pretty neat compared to others

^ link that contains information on blocking ads on most of the popular browsers.. (Firefox, Chrome, IE, Opera)

I use Firefox and I have the addblock plugin. ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ ) It works wonders.

Now I don't mean to take attention away from being a dedicated supporter. It has far cooler features besides the ad block which are well worth it AND you help maintain and fund the server costs. :)

As for the website layout itself I've never had a problem with it. I find it easy to navigate.
