Hey guys, I haven't been to too many of our events (something I plan on working on) but I've realized a trend among them that we are pretty reliant on vanilla TF2 maps for them. E.G. today when we were told not to touch the flag in a CTF map during around the world. :facewall:

I've spent a lot of time mapping and developing with the Source: Development Kit and would be glad to make the clan some custom maps for events. Any thoughts?

I can't speak for all of us EC's, but I know that we're always looking at maps to put on the server. I would recommend talking to Caelestis about this.

Sounds awesome! Speaking as a TF2 division member, an event coordinator, and someone who's done mapping in the past, I think this could really reinvigorate our division. Ever since 13dragons slowed down and pretty much abandoned Blackmesa, we haven't had much to work with.. If you need any help, I'd be glad to lend my aid.

Glad to see the community is mostly behind this. So besides talking to EC's, what events do you guys most feel deserve their own personal map?

In a previous event, we had an idea of an arcade server, with stuff like hale, prop hide n seek, dodge-ball, which is a very great idea imo! :o

Definitely some interesting game modes. I'd like to start making maps for events though :p

That won't work out so well. You'd have to get a bunch of different maps, put them into the arcade map, create a mod that contains all the mods and randomizes them like TF2Ware, then have it when the mod is picked send it to a random map that corresponds with that game mode.

GLHF making that. ;)

That actually doesn't sound that hard. A lot of script, but not difficult to make.
