Thoughts? Chinese meta is going to completely evolve the meta of the whole game.

I thought china was always huge when it came to the DotA scene.

Not dota 2 because many dota teams took a while to switch to dota 2 for issues such as lag among other things and TI2 was the first tournament where they really had a huge presence.

I don't think so, I feel the teams just were not prepared for the Chinese Metagame, Navi seemed to adapt pretty well to it. It may be teams were not prepared to face the 4 protect 1 style the Chinese played.

Which is exactly what this thread is about lol. Most teams couldn't use their pushing strats that all eu/na teams are used to and they had no other strats to switch to. The only teams that knocked out Chinese teams were other Chinese teams.

Except that Navi put DK, IG and LGD in the lower bracket(hard to knock people out when you stay in the winner bracket), the problem that NA/EU teams had is that they don't play the Chinese teams as often as they play other NA/EU teams. So they don't know what the Chinese are going to use coming into the tourney while the Chinese teams have all these games that they can watch showing the NA/EU teams using there pushing strats. So they were able to create strats that are effective against the push. Next big tourney with NA/EU/Chinese teams will really show if the Chinese are dominant or were just able to prepare better based on what games/vods were available to see.

Plus next year full hero pool will be out so that will mix things up too.

The chinese only did a few things that were unexpected, like any other team, for the most part they played characters in ways that they were meant to, but with a slightly different emphasis.
Like the batrider thing.
