Winds started last night, and picked up this morning upwards of 120k.
We lost power for a few hours, thankfully it came back on within a few hours.

A few communities have been evacuated via flooding and roads/highways being washed out. Alot of roads have been closed due to flying debris, fallen, live and exposed power lines on the ground.
All schools were shut down last night, the only thing that wasn't closed until 9am this morning were some goverment offices.

I live on the east coast of Newfoundland, so we were hit with the worst wind of the island. Towards the west they were hit in 10inchs of rain in just a short amount of time, with more still dropping.

Luckily, no one has been reported to have been injured or even worse dead from this hurricane, we will know more about all that 6pm tonight during the news ( if the power still works).

Damages that have been reported so far include uprooted trees, shingles coming off roofs, siding coming off houses, branches/tree's flying down roads, Glass exploding, fences falling down, decks blown over to the neighbours lawn, cars damaged, and flooding in other parts of the island.

Thought i'd share some pictures of the mess :(.

-This is a power line not to far from my house on a main road.

- A few houses up from me, a tree came down on the fence almost hitting the basement apartment's window next to it.

- This was one of two transport trucks that flipped over on the highway.

- Alot of tree's are uprooted aswell, which isn't suprising.

Anyways, i'm thankful nothing worse has happened, and everyone is alright

It's alot of mess to clean up, I wouldn't wanna be the guy that owned that car lol. Insurance here won't even cover it. It may look cool, but it's a pain.
