R30 Patch or People don't care anymore

only four people actively do this, take your problems filling servers elsewhere, you guys actively kill servers by not understanding how to seed servers.
 
how do you seed servers ? I have no idea what else to do but i kinda tired of joining a server just me and my son and we just dicking around .. our time is too limited for that to waste it for no active play time :( but maybe i could get some advise how to do better ?

Filling a server is usually only successful when you have several people. With just 2 people, it would take forever, if at all.

As far as tips for filling:
1. Don't all cap (capture all the capturable bases)
2. Don't use armor (tanks, APC's)
3. Don't idle until there are at least 8 players
4. (This one is obvious) Follow all eGO server rules (don't attack uncaps, don't swear in chat, etc.)

Idk who your "four people" are, but we filled Small Conq earlier (Badanov, Allmight, Shrapnel, mrmullet, Walkuere, and me)

+1 on server filling and "How not to kill a server"

I spend as much time seeding our servers as I can. There is a minimum number of eGO member's that we need to to seed. (You can't do it by your self)... Min = 4, and 6 is better. My two cents.. Some maps are killers too... ;)

It is pretty obvious who you are talking about when it comes to Mechwarrior so you might as well just say who you have problems with.

I joined eGO on my own initiative and not because of battlefield 3, I choose battlefield 3 because it was what I had the most interest at the time. I have put in almost 350 hours in BF3 and the majority of that was during my time in eGO. I should not have to feel obligated to play a video game and I do not appreciate being singled out as one of the reason our division is having issues with its servers.

Of course I am not filling servers as much, mainly because I have a new job and go to school and I don't always want to sit in a empty server for an hour or two when I have only 5 hours a free time when I come home from work.

So in the end, yes it is sad that our servers lie empty and that I could do more, but I play games because I want to have fun. If I don't want to play Battlefield 3 I shouldn't be pressured into doing so. With that said I do like Battlefield 3 and it was and still is one of my most played games, however I have other things I am playing right now. If it is that big of an issue let me know so I can change divisions so you can feel better.

AS much as I feel like I shouldn't have to get personal on a public forum. I won't stand by and be told the way I choose to have fun is a bad thing.

I am a 25 year old ex-Navy Nuclear Operator. In the Navy I was diagnosed with Severe Depression and their way of handling it was to send me to NJP and kick me out under false pretenses. Certainly doesn't help with the diagnosis I assure you. This however has also lead to me being unable to get a job worthy of my qualifications. Jobs I'm overqualified for ignore my application because to them why the hell would someone as smart as me want to work at a job that doesn't even require a GED. The only job I was able to get was a Cable Representative at my cable company where I spent every day being treated with as much respect as you would an infestation in your home. So I did the only thing I could do before I did something everyone I know would get hurt from and quit. So now I'm unemployed 25 living with my dysfunctional parents. When I should be making a minimum of 60k a year with my skill set. Certainly doesn't help my diagnosis of having severe depression either.

I am presenting my current life story not because I want you guys to feel pity for me or to seek attention. I say it to present you an accurate picture on why when I get on vent I want to have fun. Escape the cascading failure that has been my life. I've been burnt out with Battlefield. Have been for awhile. I still enjoy organized play to an extent and events (which we can't do as we don't have members or currently a private server I can mess with.) making it one of the few things that bring me back to BF. This leads me to have to escape into other games. Mechwarrior/Battletech, a particularly strong one cause it represents a universe far my pleasant than my own.

So I'm quite sorry about the division but it's not SinX, Snoop's, Tride's or my fault. Us playing other things besides Battlefield isn't a new thing and hasn't been for a long long time. The division used to be able to function with us sitting in our room by ourselves with every other room in Battlefield filled with people playing Battlefield. It's not our fault that over time all of them disappeared. And just because they disappeared doesn't mean I'm going to completely devote my life to saving a game I no longer have passion for in my state of mind. It's not that I don't care in fact it saddens me that we don't have the membership on needed to make events fun (IMO).
 
Ok ladies, keep the panties on, the issue we have here is how to get our servers back on track. I am working on a few things and will start focusing more from monday. All I ask you to do is come help each other when asked to fill servers. No need to get personal, as I have always said we are all family here and we need to stick to together to resolve the issue the division is facing right now. As I am back now, lets get down to do work, finger pointing will get us no where.

Nope, it's not clear..cause it's not YOU! I'm in the MW beta too! LOL! No, I don't think there is any blame, just we need to get these servers on track, or they will roll them up...

Of course you can play any games you want!! Again, LOL! We do need help filling these servers, so if your going to play BF3, and we have a couple of eGO guys on, please do your best. NO ONE is asking you to sit on empty servers for hours on end.

We also need to not kill servers we've spent hours trying to seed. Randy's post is perfect on this.

That's my two cent's. :)

it's not like it fixes the hacking, but it is better than just standard PB that we run. I constantly see people being kicked from servers that use it. I'm not going to lie. I feel alot of hackers target our servers. When I bring my friends to our servers they end up leaving because they feel people are hacking. Problem is it's so hard to prove they are hacking without the spectate feature that I end up not enjoying the game because i'm trying to admin and watch them.

It's just easier to go to a server that is better locked down honestly. I've never once had issues with the servers that run pbbans or ggc stream in BF3, so it really frustrates me that we don't use it too.

I know alot of people also don't play on our servers because of language rules, but that's not something that my friends and I have issues with.
