NEED help video fail

Ok so i finally upgraded to win7 about 3weeks ago was using win xp which im thinking of going back to if i cant get this problem solved
here my problem if i go online to watch videos i get a error nvidia kernel mode driver 306.23 stopped working and was recovered so i have to close IE than launch new one than videos will play but somtime it will keep doing this error i search forums but there was no real answer i have VC driver up to date check for a heat issue also heard p/s could cause this but mine is about 5 months old any ideas will help thank you.

When you upgraded to Win7, did you reformat the hard drive completely, or just do an install?

Typically, when you reformat the hard drive, you then install the Operating System. Next, any motherboard utilities or programs that you may require or is "recommended." Third, you install the most recent version of your video card drivers. This is where you're having your issue. nVidia Kernel Mode driver 306.23 has been an issue with a variety of different video cards, namely nVidia. Quick search online has this problem linked to 306.23 drivers from nVidia. My recommendation: Uninstall your current video card drivers. Either install a newer set of drivers from here or install an older set of drivers here

Rest assured, it's not wholly Windows 7 causing this issue, it's just that nVidia released a set of drivers that causes issues for some owners. Speaking of which, what video card are you using?

thanks for the reply snipeye im using a gts250 im not sure but i just started using google crome and it works fine im guessing its IE9 i tried the 32/64bit both get the error ill just use google seem alot better than IE

Just a warning: I've been having issues with Google Chrome when it comes to watching videos. Ironically, I don't have the same problem on Mozilla or IE. Still may want to at least and try to fix your problem.
