Years back I used to map. The oldest map here is probably surf_jolt & v2, with aim_sk_impact and cs_sk_assault being the most recent; recent being quite a few years old still.

I was part of a clan called Surf-CS that at the time (in it's prime) was the best surfing clan, although I was more like the one honorary member because I was never that great at it

If any of you happened to be around back then in the surfing community, my name at the time was ToXic.

Surf_Jolt
Surf_Jolt_v2

I was also in another clan I made a few maps for under the name JoLt, so I figured I'd post those up as well since they're a bit more well done...

cs_sk_assault was done without using a source file of cs_assault as I wanted it to be a bit different.

de_sk_dust was a simple remake/retexture with a few minor modifications, opening up the right side of the map a bit to allow for more T movement.

aim_sk_impact is a symmetrical map with a couple secret buttons to give low gravity or open up a door that has a couple guns in it. I was pretty particular about texture alignment in this map, so you may notice everything lines up perfectly.

Here's a download including all the maps if any of ya happen to be interested - they're all pretty simple maps, but I had a lot of fun making them back then.

Thanks for stopping by - it was fun for me to remember these days :thumbup1:

Maps look nice. I'd load them up and play but I'm too lazy to fiddle around and launch CS 1.6.

Why don't you map anymore?

No particular reason - it's been many years since I actually completed a map, but I briefly started a couple projects a few years back and realizing just how long it takes (it was a particularly large project: The Specialists Roleplay Map - essentially a small city) I realized I just didn't have the time nor energy to pick it back up.

I was never too creative when it came to these things anyways. I've done a fair amount of graphic/web design as well and while I was never bad at any of it, aside from the occasional writing, I've always been a more technical person; it was using the programs to make something functional that I believe initially had me so interested.
