Hard Drive Issue?

So my mom got a bit angry at me and slammed the screen of my laptop down and since then it has been extremely slow and laggy beyond comprehension. My computer has a Core i5. i would really like some sort of resolution from this problem.

Hard drives are very fragile; a minor bump could cause the read head to come loose and become damaged. Run a ChkDsk to see if your hard drives have any errors first:

To run a chkdsk:

1. Open "My Computer"
2. Right Click the drive in question
3. Click "Properties"
4. Select the "Tools" tab
5. Click [Check Now] in the Error check section

If you find problems with the hard drive, you'll have to replace it. Hopefully your lappy is still under warranty. If it is, just fib to the company that the drive became loose somehow, they'll usually have you send it in to be repaired.

didnt find any errors but my lappy is still under warranty (thank goodness) so i'll probs send it in. thx for your help!
